James Ellsmoor , Island Innovations on Global Island Sustainability -Karin Avila

James Ellsmoor is the CEO of Island Innovation, a network of islands from around the world with the shared mission of creating a more sustainable future. The Global Sustainable Island Summit is one of their flagship events, and they recently held their fourth in-person summit in Gran Canaria, part of the Spanish Canary Islands. Karin met with James in between conference sessions, after he participated in an Earth Day tree dedication held in front of the conference center to talk about how islands are moving from ideas to action, the significance of tourism, and how global affairs underscore the urgency for long-term sustainable energy solutions.
