James Michael Forrest, aka ‘Mountain Man’
from The Outdoors Fix
Five years ago James Michael Forrest had an office job, lived in Birmingham and occasionally went on strolls at the weekend. He admits that he wasn’t a happy man. Today he’s a record-breaking hiker, having walked all the mountains in England, Wales and Ireland in the quickest ever time. For the record, that is 719 mountains! He’s also now a travel writer and lives in the Lake District. But how did he do it? What was the spark to make the change? What effect has it had on his life and finances? And why does he feel like the outdoors has given him another lease of life? * The Outdoors Fix is a podcast hosted and produced by Liv Bolton @liv_outsideuk
