Jamie King on Tips for Running Your First 100-Mile Ultra

from Everyday Ultra · host Joe Corcione

One of the best ways to learn how to do something is to learn from someone who has “been there, done that”. And for Jamie King, she’s “been there, done that” with several 100-mile finishes, most recently completing the Cascade Crest 100! Plus, she’s also finished races such as the Born to Run 100 Miler, Bighorn 100 miler, and Rio Del Lago 100 miler, to name a few. And in this episode, she shares the key tips that have helped her to complete these races, all while having fun along the way. Jamie King is an ultrarunner, yogi, former yoga studio owner, and mom who has a passion for running, yoga, and having fun along in the way. And in this episode, she shares insights she’s learned on her ultrarunning journey, why yoga has played a huge part in her success as a runner, and how she fine-tuned her nutrition and mental strategies along the way. In this episode, I am also joined by co-host Greg Lehman, who is a runner, writer, and all-around great human being who is setting out to complete his first 100-mile finish later this year at Pine to Palm 100!  Huge thank you to Jamie and Greg for coming on the show!
