Jane Schildroth - Jane 5.0

from The Marvelous Middle Age Podcast · host Nicole Studt

Welcome back to the Marvelous Middle Age Podcast!  This week I’m speaking with Jane Schildroth. Jane is a mother, grandmother, and a life-long educator, having retired in 2014 from The University of Iowa. Her husband died of cancer in 2018 and after her recent downsizing experience, she considers herself “Jane 5.0,” a new operating system. I had the privilege to work with Jane at The University of Iowa years ago and always appreciated her leadership and guidance. In this week’s episode Jane and I discuss adjusting to life post retirement and what her life looks like now as she pursues interests and learning new things at this stage. I truly appreciated Jane sharing her thoughts about coping with grief and loss.  I hope you enjoy my conversation with my friend, Jane Schildroth.
