The heat is adding a strain to recovery efforts in the aftermath of Tropical Depression Chantal. Communities across Durham, Orange and Alamance Counties remain in cleanup mode. The storm dumped ten inches of rain in Chapel Hill and Hillsborough, nine inches in Mebane and eight inches in Durham.
