Her experience in teaching those who are considered autistic/spectrum earlier in life played into decisions that helped her in running her business, but that was just the beginning. Janet's goal is to help this highly employable segment of the population embrace their abilities and purpose to benefit them AND their employers. This journey began about 12 years ago and there are many success stories from the business she sold. Now her mission is to help others understand how to help these highly employable people in their own areas. Janet is creating a movement with her "Business in a Box" which does not pay her any royalties and that was created with a great deal of collaboration for those looking to create a social enterprise. The most surprising things? Janet's business is a for-profit business, the spectrum employees are excellent employees because they love routine and don't get bored AND they are paid well once they learn how to do their job. There are multiple success stories where these ones have moved on to even better jobs after their training such as Adam who is happily working his dream job at Fed-Ex after working and learning from Janet, being promoted to a leadership position and even building his confidence to get a drivers license.
