Janine Stratford

After a long journey in the education system, Janine started her company, Coaching Focus. Promotion due to seniority and skills does not always equip someone with the ability to lead people. Taking the role of a principal is, in many ways, like being the manager of an organisation, not just the senior educator.  Janine felt that promotion was common, but personal and professional development in leadership skills was not. Hence, Coaching Focus was created for Senior Educators to be equipped with the skills that matched their responsibilities. Now, after many years of working with lead teachers and Deputy Principals, Janine has turned the industry around and equipped senior leaders in private schools to be prepared for their promotion and equipped for success.  Janine was a client of mine for 2 1/2 years just prior to and during the COVID Pandemic. Her tenacious passion for her clients and her industry kept her relevant and passionate during the COVID-19 Pandemic. When many others in her industry folded, Janine pivoted and kept supporting her clientele through an extremely difficult season in education, thrusting her even further forward as a respected pioneer in leadership development in education.  Please enjoy our conversation.
