The Red Sox signed Kiké Hernandez to a one-year deal and we finally are seeing some direction from the Red Sox front office. The Red Sox playoff chances are now somewhere in the 0.2%-0.4% range which pretty much puts a cap on the season. Although they were swept by the Rays, we talk about how we didn’t really feel anything from these losses and the attention has shifted to our 2023 roster. Kiké dropped an interesting quote from Chaim Bloom claiming that he promised next year’s team will be “way better.” We discuss if we’re confident in that statement and what kind of offseason the Red Sox would need to have in order to make that true.
