Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane | The State of the Memphis Grizzlies and Hilarious Stories From Their Come Up

On this episode of ‘The Young Man and the Three,’ Tommy Alter is joined by Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane of the Memphis Grizzlies. First, Tommy and Jason Gallagher open the episode with Trey Murphy of the New Orleans Pelicans to discuss his game saving ‘block’ against the Dallas Mavericks. Then, JJJ and Des take us back to how they first met in the basketball world. They also discuss which NBA players (Anthony Edwards, Zion Williamson, Lu Dort, Jrue Holiday) would make good NFL players. They also have a very honest conversation about how NIL might be affecting NCAA basketball. Both of them then share their NBA Draft processes and experiences, including how Jaren met Draymond Green and how Michigan State coach Tom Izzo keeps in contact with all his NBA players. They then discuss the state of the Grizzlies, how this year’s team is different, what they’ve learned the past few years with early success, and just how incredible Ja Morant is, and much more. Finally, they share their take on what’s wrong with flagrant fouls. It’s a packed, fantastic episode.
