Jarrell Gentrification change

Today I spoke with Jarrell about what he has been witnessing in his hometown of San Fransisco and the Bay area in regards to gentrification and the feeling he has when the place that he is from, the place that his family is from has spiraled out of control with unaffordable property values. I imagine it to be a painful experience - watching your home town change in a way that gets flooded with money and technology and doesn’t have a way for people with generations of family to continue to remain in the area in any real way. Jarrell speaks about his experience in a raw and beautiful way — where his mission is to share his story and bring more awareness to the realities of what is happening to his home and is a stark reality that many people are dealing with across America.
