What this episode covers
During Holy Week, we join with Christians around the world in commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus. In our worship gatherings on Palm Sunday and Easter, we explored the idea that Jesus’s death and resurrection are not only important events for us to remember and celebrate. They are also, according to Paul, spiritual realities that we carry around with us in our everyday lives that reveal the love and power of God at work in the world. In Christ, circumstances that demonstrate our weakness and frailties as human beings can become situations for God’s power to emerge and bring the hope of new life. In this message on Palm Sunday, Pastor Aaron shared about the metaphor of weak, ordinary clay pots or oil lamps that Paul uses in 2 Corinthians 4 to describe the dynamic of carrying around the life and death of Jesus in our human bodies.
