Jashawn Coffey's Rise and Transfer Plans | Ohio State Buckeyes Basketball News

Jashawn Coffey, Ohio’s rising 2028 basketball star, dropped 24 points and dished out five assists in a heartbreaking two-point loss — but he’s not dwelling on the defeat. Already averaging over 17 points per game in the adidas 3SSB circuit and racking up 73 threes in his varsity career, Coffey is poised for a breakout season after transferring to Lakota East. With scholarship offers from Ohio University, Kent State, and Detroit already on the table, and eyes from powerhouse programs like Ohio State watching closely, he’s focused on proving himself as a complete player — not just a scorer. He’s sharpening his jump shot, boosting his conditioning, and preparing for another big tournament with Bleacher Prospect Elite, all while keeping his sights set on the ultimate goal: becoming a top-tier recruit right here in his home state.
