Jax Kids Thrive in Science & Social Skills | Jacksonville News

New research shows Jax PBS KIDS Family and Community Learning workshops are making a major impact—kids in Jacksonville saw nearly 10% growth in science skills and 7% overall improvement, while 90% of families reported increased science interest. Parents noted big gains too: 95% saw better social skills and confidence in kids, and 97% felt more involved during media time and better equipped to turn everyday moments into learning opportunities. The program, backed by the Kids Hope Alliance and launched in 2023, is expanding to 12 early learning centers for the 2026–2027 school year, blending PBS KIDS content with hands-on activities, meals, and parent engagement—all designed to build lifelong skills and set kids up for success.
