Jaxx DeJean Joins Iowa Football | Iowa Hawkeyes Football News

Jaxx DeJean, the dynamic younger brother of former Hawkeye star Cooper DeJean, has officially committed to Iowa for the 2027 class, continuing the Hawkeyes’ tradition of keeping talent close to home. A three-star recruit from Odebolt-Arthur High School, Jaxx chose Iowa over offers from Kansas State, Michigan, UAB, and UNLV, opting to follow in his brother’s footsteps. Already a standout multi-sport athlete—scoring 12.7 points per game in basketball, batting .404 in baseball, and competing in track—he’s also a versatile football player who caught 36 passes for 461 yards, rushed for 207 yards, threw for 149 yards, and snagged three interceptions last season. Set to begin his senior year on August 28th, Jaxx’s commitment strengthens Iowa’s recruiting class and reinforces the program’s culture of loyalty and family.
