Jaydub on JMB's New Old Show
from James Marshall Berry's New Old Show · host James Marshall Berry
Jeff Falconer was abandoned by wolves and raised by his parents in Northern California. Beginning his musical pursuits early, Jeff played his first gig at age 8, at the Mendocino County Fair in Ukiah. Moving to Sonoma Valley at age 9, Jeff became active in school bands, first as a drummer and then a trombonist. After thrashing around in garages with other pimply-faced delinquents, Jeff had his first quality band experience with Sonoma teen-throb sensations Maurice Bleu (don’t ask…). Jeff played harmonica, trombone and sang in that band, a psychedelic power trio with horns. They weren’t too bad…. Switching to guitar in his early 20’s, Jeff was living the hippie dream in the Russian River area when he was invited to play with Bill Ande, a NorCal Rockstar of the early 70’s. The Willard Ande Band was reborn as Seymour Light, a high-end club hardworking club band that took Jeff all over the US, Eventually based in Atlanta and touring the South, Seymour Light was a great experience and hecka educational. Since returning to Sonoma County as a “grownup”, Jeff has played in many weekend aggregations, as well as performing solo and in the duo Jaydub and Dino, with Dennis Cordellos. Jeff Has released 3 solo albums and 3 more with Jaydub and Dino. www.jefffalconer.com
