Jayka Duncan: The Power of Surrender | The Healing Grove Podcast

This week I invite you to a powerful conversation with my friend, Jayka Duncan. Jayka was diagnosed with breast cancer in December, 2018. Not just breast cancer, actually; recurrent breast cancer. In a bold departure from her previous wrangling with a disease that affects one in eight women, this time she decided to follow her intuition, which guided her to an alternative approach. Despite some classic fear-mongering by her oncologist, she stood her ground and spent the next year and a half engaging with a variety of holistic practices, therapies, saunas, chelation, you name it. Despite all this, the cancer gained ground.That was when Jayka finally surrendered...When most people hear that someone "surrended to cancer," they assume it means that cancer took them down. Not Jayka. For her, surrender became a practice of surrendering to the emotions that lay beneath the cancer. And it was through her daily surrender practice that Jayka was able to heal her stage 4 cancer in less than four months. She now spends the larger part of most days in a state of bliss, emanating unconditional love for herself and others.
