Jayme Kontuniemi Joins Troy

Six-foot-four guard Jayme Kontuniemi, a transfer from NC State, is heading to Troy for the 2026-27 season — and he’s bringing international pedigree with him. After redshirting last year at NC State, Kontuniemi will reunite with former coach Adam Howard, who’s thrilled by his work ethic and upside. With a championship pedigree from Europe’s Drive Academy U20 team and Finnish national team experience, Kontuniemi’s arrival signals a major boost for Troy’s roster — and fans are already watching closely to see how he blossoms under Howard’s guidance.
