Welcome to Jazz Piano Skills. It's time to discover, learn, and play jazz piano!Today’s podcast will be quite different from what I typically do regularly. We won’t study any specific jazz piano skill, analyze and digest a tune, or visit with a special guest. Instead, I want to devote today’s podcast episode to looking back over the past four-plus years - a historical summary of how Jazz Piano Skills got started, the various jazz piano skills taught, the teaching approach used, and why. I then want to look forward to the future of Jazz Piano Skills and share the format and approach I will use starting with the new year.
