Jeanne Grabowski: Career, Purpose & Identifying Our Core Needs

from Fiercely Human

Jeanne Grabowski is a career development coach and brand strategist for wellness and spiritual leaders, corporate transitioners, and creatives. She guides them to clarity through a deeper understanding of their skills strengths, needs, and values and helps translate that into tactical steps to turn their new career vision into a reality. She formerly held roles in sales and executive recruiting for high profile start-ups then made the leap in 2010 to fulfill her insatiable yearning to "do something more meaningful in her work", and started her coaching practice. Today she runs private and group coaching programs and workshops, both virtually and LIVE in NYC. Jeanne was also MY own business coach on and off for the last ten years and a HUGE part of my own internal growth. Jeanne joins us today to discuss career alignment, purpose, being in process, transition, aligning what we do with our truest selves, and to serve in a way that aligns with our unique needs and deepest values as human beings. On the podcast today, we dive deep into: ● How our society has it ass-backward with career alignment and finding our purpose. ● The importance of identifying your core needs as a person as the pillars and letting career move around them. ● Why career alignment always comes back to understanding our motivations and needs. ● Why getting paid to LEARN and EXPERIMENT is a valuable choice. ● Jeanne's three-part discovery process toward finding their truest needs, desires and current values. ● Why Jeanne took a job for $10 an hour when she was at the top of her coaching game and practice. ● The importance of identifying your core needs as a person as the pillars and letting career move around them. ● Jeanne's "Living the Dream Now" philosophy and how it can impact your present circumstances and job. ● Why living into a different future can profoundly affect our present. ● Why tactical action toward change sometimes needs to come AFTER the inner work. ● How our identity can hold back our career fulfillment. ● The stages we experience before letting something die and starting something new. ● How our numbing behaviors are really powerful invitation to look at our career. ● How stepping out of alignment is as important as BEING in alignment with our careers.
