The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks (Beacon Press, 2015) is the definitive political biography of Rosa Parks and the basis for a 2022 documentary, Theoharis's book examines Park's six decades of activism, challenging perceptions of her as an accidental actor in the civil rights movement.  This interview revisits the original book, as well as Dr. Theoharis's involvement as a consulting producer and participant in the documentary.
