I had the honor and opportunity to interview ItsTheReal Jeff and Eric Rosenthal we discuss a variety of topics from The Introduction in Hip-hop, Comedy, Eric meeting and connecting with Kanye West and working for him, Jeff’s start as a journalist and interviewer, Field Mobb, Lloyd Banks. Building connections, Interview preparations, getting rejected, and working for MTV. Dealing with rappers who get angry with the questions you ask. Being rappers and their new music, Passion over profit. Alternative plans possibly Jeff being a reggaeton artist. ItsTheReal started from the bottom making parody videos every Monday and eventually gaining a solid fan base and with that came a large amount of Co-signs from a variety of Rappers. Obviously the success and impact within Hip-hop Sketch comedy didn’t happen over night, it took hard work and dedication, and a good amount of time before they really blew up.
