Jeff Garmire: Cocodona 250 Preview Episode for 2023

from Everyday Ultra · host Joe Corcione

The Legend himself is back for round 3 of Cocodona 250! Jeff Garmire is a professional endurance athlete, thru-hiker, and author who is well known for his many FKT accomplishments, such as nabbing the unsupported records for the John Muir Trail, Arizona Trail, and Colorado Trail, only to name a few out of the many records he has. He is also the author of the book, Free Outside. Jeff is one of the amazing athletes who is taking on Cocodona for a third time. And in this race, he’s not only looking to do better than the last two races after learning a ton from them; he’s also looking to have loads of fun throughout the race, which is one of the main reasons he’s coming back for another year. In this episode, Jeff shares how listening to his body has been such a gamechanger when it comes to training and racing, his viewpoint on learning that has allowed him to level up as an athlete, and some of his favorite tools he plans to use at Cocodona to help him finish the race strong. Huge thank you to Jeff for coming on the show!
