Happy Monday, Fabulous Listener! Hope you are all doing amazing on this fabulous Monday. We are excited you have joined us during the 2024 season. We are getting ready to wrap up and are so grateful for your support. This evening, we have an amazing guest, the fabulous Mr. Jeff Giles, sharing his latest book, Langley Powell and the Society for the Defense of the Mundane. An experienced culture writer and editor who's been featured in a long list of publications including Paste Magazine, the Village Voice, American Songwriter, Ultimate Classic Rock, and Rotten Tomatoes, Jeff Giles makes his debut as a novelist with Langley Powell and the Society for the Defense of the Mundane. Although it's his first novel, Langley Powell is Jeff's third book, following Llanview in the Afternoon: An Oral History of One Life to Live, and Uncle John's Beer-Topia: A Heady Brew of Beer Miscellany. He can also be heard regularly as the co-host of the long-running Record Player podcast with Matt Wardlaw. When Jeff isn't working on his next project, he's probably either running off yesterday's calories or playing guitar (badly). Jeff lives in New Hampshire with his wife, two children, and a pair of dogs. For even more of his writing, subscribe to his Jefitoblog newsletter or follow him on Twitter. You can also find him on his site at https://langleypowell.com. Thank you for joining us this evening. Always a pleasure bringing you new books from incredible authors. Make sure to stay for next week's last episodes of the season. Happy Listening, DC
