Jeffery Self & More Famous Women Wines!

from The Wine Situation · host Ellen Clifford

This episode gets a sultry start before welcoming guest Jeffery Self (30 Rock, You're Killing Me, A Very Very Bad Thing) joins to whine about the plethora of attention given to terrible famous men when there are so many fabulous women to be honored! They pair it with a wine that is associated with women that deserves respect: a fantastic 2013 Chardonnay by Deovlet Santa Maria Valley Solomon Hills Vineyard from sponsor Gregory Condes Wines! Honor the women, honor the wine. Ellen's hip sip tip was cab-off between a mag of Margaux and Stag's Leap Artemis! France vs. Napa... Shaughn's hip sip tip is The Pure Hoppiness by Alpine Brewing--he's going beer this week! They take a question from the mailbag about wine and erectile disfunction and their dick sip tip is that wine is part of a healthy diet and a healthy diet is good for your boner. But they are no medical experts so take all that with a grain of salt.  Before getting into wine they discuss how to delve into beer for the non-beer drinker. Ellen recommends starting with a sour. Shaughn implores both to believe in beer. This dissolves into how to drink all night and not get tooooo trashed. A little trashy is okay. Also...what the hell is orange wine? Get your questions answered here! Then they get into the whine and how distressing it is that people are sad about their male heroes being taken down. Jeffery stresses that women need to not be aged out of the system. More Jane Fonda, please! Or can we have a year where men aren't allowed to work? Chardonnay paired with this because there is such negative stigma around women drinking it. A balanced sophisticated Chardonnay does not a basic bitch make.  The lightning round covers: Where the town of Chardonnay is located, the difference between new and used oak, and Chardonnay's parent grapes.      Hosted on Acast.
