Jehovah — Jehovah Shalom: The Lord Our Peace

The world chases peace through music, breathing, decluttering, and a flood of self-help, but Scripture defines it differently. Judges 6 finds Gideon threshing wheat in a winepress, hiding from the Midianites, when the angel of the Lord greets this frightened man as a mighty warrior. Gideon questions where God is and protests that his clan is the weakest, yet after a confirming sign he builds an altar and names it Jehovah-Shalom , the Lord is peace.
