Jehovah-Jireh - God Has Provided The Perfect Sacrifice

Today, Wednesday July 29 - Jehovah-Jireh, translated into our English language means, "On the Mount of the LORD it shall be seen that the LORD provides." I love Genesis 22 because in it is one of the most beautiful pictures of the Substitutionary Death of our Lord Jesus as the Lamb of God in the Old Testament. Jesus said the devil is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44) Beginning with Eve in the garden, the devil lied to her to make her believe that God was holding back something from her. One of his biggest lies, even today, is that God really doesn't love you or care for you. If God cared for you why would He let all these bad things happen to you. But my friend, God does love you so much that He Himself became the sacrificial Lamb that would pay the ultimate price for our sins! And today, on Mt. Calvary, it can still be seen, that the LORD has provided a substitute to die in our place so that by faith we can believe and be saved! Amen! God bless!
