Currently on a promotional tour in China, I was lucky enough to sit down with the very popular Serbian Cellist Jela Cello. Seeing her perform in Shanghai that night was an amazing experience. Right from a young age, Jela was the top students in Belgrade and won numerous awards, being titled the best student of her generation. She was awarded the Golden Shield and Golden Charter awards for her contributions to Cultural and Educational Community for Serbia. Her album Clash was released in 2012 and featured a composition of Jimi Hendrix "Purple Haze" and as of today has had 1.5 million downloads on Youtube (which you can hear at the start of the podcast).. She formed a 60 piece Orchestra called "Jela Cello Power Symphony Orchestra". She has collaborated with front man of Journey Arnel Pineda recording the Christmas Dreams album.
