Hi, I'm Holly and I'm Hailey. Welcome to Mountain Mysteries Tales from Appalachia. All right, we're live. We're live, but are we alive?

That sounds really good question. It's up in the air. It's up in the air. Yeah, you know a couple episodes ago we were talking about your cat that's in a box.

Cat that's in a box? Your dead cat. Oh, yeah, yeah, it's in a box on the mantle. I feel like that's my follow-up to heart in a box.

Is cat in a box? Cat in a box. Yes. Yes.

Well, it's really cat ashes in a box. That doesn't sound as good. Doesn't flow as well. Or I mean we could change it to I've got your ashes in a box.

And then it could be something that's like grieving and reflective. It could be a slow jam. I like that. Yes.

That could be good. And again, that's being other Grammy. Yeah, obviously. On the mantle.

So, again, I will wink at you. Nice. Oh no, that was for me. That's for you.

It was special. Well, if you hear small cat noises, there is a very tiny cat in this room with us. It's so sticky and cute. I can't even tell you.

He's very tiny. He's maybe six weeks old. His name is Edgar. He's a little black cat.

My friend found him in the middle of the road. And she posted on Facebook that like she found this cat and was like, oh, he's so cute. And so she texted me and she's like, do you want him? I'm like, yes, I do.

So now it's like raising his toddler, it feels like, because he's so small. And my dog wants to play with him so bad. But she is like, 50 times his size. Because he's literally a pound.

And my dog is 50 pounds. So, yeah, he, so they have to be, you know, we have to be supervised together for a little while. So, yeah. He is so cute.

He is currently sipping, you know, some water. Yeah, he's eating regular food, drinking, pooping, all the cat things that he should be doing. His poop smells horrendous. So if he does that in the middle of this episode, we will have to pause because I will have to immediately get it out of the box because it stinks so bad.

It's like a newborn wearing a holiday like, wake up and they're alert for a little while and they eat and they poop and it's like back to sleep and yeah, I'm eating and you know, I'm hoping he'll go to sleep here in a minute because he's been running around like a wild man for a while. Seeing his own shadow. Oh, gosh. Yeah, we went to the vet and said he was too small to have any shots done.

So we go back in like two weeks. So, that's exciting when he's hopefully be by weeks and so he can have his first round of, you know, shots and things. That's so sweet. Yeah.

I was wondering when you were going to get another catch. I think I'm waiting for the cat distribution system to bless me. Yes. And it bless my friend.

And so I feel like that was kind of, you know, leading into it. Yeah, so he's very cute. He's very tiny. He's a wild man.

He will be fearless. Absolutely. So I love it. Yeah.

So if you hear any like wild noises, it's a cat. I'm going to have to tell my son. He wants a cat so bad. He can't say it.

He's like, I just don't understand why won't you give me a cat? I was like, because I like my furniture. Yeah. And I love cats.

But I just can't. I don't have any capacity. It's a lot. I would, the only reason that I agree to take him is because I'm all for the summer from work.

Like if I had to work a full-time job right now and try to figure out how to keep him separate and then entertained and all the things like it just would not work. Hi. Oh, he just jumped out of my leg. Hello, small friend.

Can you say hi? Oh, just back to my phone. I was helping you. It'll be really cute.

No. Okay. He likes to me. I'll when you pick him up and he doesn't want to be.

Yeah. He's really good at like scaling people's legs with his little claws. We did thankfully like nip the like the tips of the claws off because they were like little needles. So it's he probably needs it again.

Actually, another looking at it. Oh, yeah, there it went. So he is he's all black, but he's cool little like maybe green, maybe blue eyes. I can't.

I mean, he first came to me. He had like piercing blue eyes, which most kittens do. Yeah. I was like, oh, let me say cool if they say blue, but I'm sure they won't.

So it's green or like a yellowy color is usually black cats. So we'll see. My parents have two black cats. I love them.

I think they're so fun. They are. They just have such wild personalities. And she the oldest one, Winnie, she is all kinds of spicy.

She has green eyes. She's beautiful. And she's tiny. She's so tiny.

I think he's going to be and I can't decide if he's going to have long hair or short hair because he's kind of fuzzy, but not like long hair fuzzy. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Tells about it.

He wants to make break. Oh, don't need her. Here you go. Go back on the floor.

Thanks, Ren. Yeah, I think it's if we keep having interruption till have to go hang out with Mark was who I think is still asleep currently, probably, but it is 10 a.m. Well, yeah. What is your boyfriend doing?

He did work last night till like 11 something. Oh, yeah. He has an excuse to sleep it. Give it to him this time.

But next time I come, I expect him to be up. Yeah. I mean, yeah. What you got for us?

Well, we're going to do this story that I literally found last night when I was trying to research some stuff because I was having a really hard time finding stories. And I found this one and it's kind of long because once I started, I was like, this is wild. I love it. So I'm hoping it's going to be just a one episodeer.

But we'll kind of see how far we get. Okay. All right, small friend. Edgar.

Edgar, good driving me nuts. But all right, come here. Okay. So we are going to Kentucky, okay, Simpson County, well, an area that's now Simpson County, it wasn't Simpson County back in the 1800s.

Oh, we're going back in time. These are my favorites. Okay, so we have Jerbowam, Bo Camp. I'm going to refer to Jerbowam.

Jerbowam Bo Camp. Sir. Just knocked over my microphone. Hi.

All right, you can sit here. You have one more chance before you're out of here. He looked at you like. Oh, he looks sad.

Okay, so Jerbowam Bo Camp. I'm going to probably refer to him as Bo Camp. They're most of this because Jerbowam just sits a lot. That's a lot.

It's a lot. Yeah, that's the name. So he was born September 6 of 1802 in Kentucky in an area that's now Simpson County. I don't know much about Kentucky, but apparently he was a second son of Thomas and Sally Bo Camp.

And he was named after one of his father's older brothers. So this was he was not just the first Jerbowam. He was at least a second. Can't you see that the dad is pushing that?

Like, it's for my brother and the mom is like, what about Dave? Can we just pick a normal name? Yeah, they get Thomas and Sally and he gets Jerbowam. That's all.

Yeah. Okay, but apparently the brother was a state senator from Washington County, Kentucky. So they were like, we'll name him after him because he's a big deal. Yeah.

Okay, so he went to school at Dr. Benjamin Thurston's Academy in Bering County, Kentucky until he was 16. He realized that his father was not able to provide for the family. So like a lot of people at that time, he dropped out and went home to help the family.

So he attempted to fund his education by getting some employment as a shoe as a shopkeeper. And so he did get some money, put away for his education, but he didn't have enough time to do it while being the shopkeeper, helping the family, trying to get, you know, the money and study and all the things. So it just didn't work out. Yeah.

So he became a preceptor of the school, which I guess is kind of like a student teacher almost. So he was able to save money by doing that and return to the school later as a student and then became employed by the school as well. So he, you know, got to split in the door. Yeah.

And he I think they really like helped him out a lot, because I think this was kind of like a high school type thing, because I mean, it's 1800. So most people didn't go past like four, fifth grade level anyway. So he actually was very educated for the time. By age 18, he had finished, you know, all of his studies and decided that he wanted to be a lawyer.

He had seen like lawyers practice and he was like, I want to do that. He's like, listen, I went to high school. So I can do this. I'm a lawyer.

Yeah. So he became so he really like looked up to this one lawyer named Solomon P sharp. And he was like, you know, I really want to be a lawyer. I want to study like underneath this guy.

Like I really want to learn from him. And 1820, he became kind of like, oh, don't know, I really like the sharp guy, because there were rumors that he had fathered an illegitimate child with crazy. I know, Edgar, it's wild. He agrees.

He is alarmed. He agrees with a woman. Her name was Anne Cook, and he denied paternity of the child. He said, this is not mine.

This is a more equality. For sure. You were maybe the father at the camera. Exactly.

I met that lawyer when he represented me in that trial. And he knows this is his baby. Yeah, pretty crazy. Yeah.

So he said, you know what? I don't know. I don't really like this guy. He's going to do that to somebody like, he's like, I'm not here for it.

So he left the area left to Bowling Green, which is kind of where he was at the time, and decided that he was going to go live at his father's estate in Simpson County, because he had some kind of like illness as well, like he was sick. So he was like, you know what? I don't want to study under this guy. I'm not really feeling it.

I'm going to go back. It was thinking this, but then this illness is kind of a reason. Yeah. So he became pretty like interested in this whole story about Anne and learn more about her.

And he discovered that, you know, since she had this public disgrace or whatever, I know it's wild. And pretty much labeled with this garlic leopard. Yeah. Yeah, there's this public disgrace.

She was like, not part of society anymore. Yeah. So she had become a recluse at her mother's estate. And her mother's estate was actually called retirement, which, you know, feels nice.

Yeah. So it was actually only a mile from where the bookamps lived from there, like a state or whatever, because they're all, you know, very well. So she's living there too with her child. I don't know about the child.

So like what happened a little bit? I don't really know about what happened to that little bastard. I don't like, there's not a whole lot in there about him or her. I don't know.

So, you know, he, bookamp had heard all these stories that Anne Cook was this beautiful woman. And she accomplished so many things from this mutual friend that he had. And so he just was like really wanted to meet her and gain an audience with her. So at first she rejected him.

She was like, ah, this is weird. I don't know about this. But eventually he was allowed in to the house under the guise of borrowing books from their library. And so he apparently like borrowed these books and would come back and forth.

And like he was really like, insistent. He was like, I like really like, I want this girl, which is a little scary. So this feels stalker and creepy. Yeah.

So they became friends in 1821 and began courting. So here's the funny thing. So bookamp is 18. Anne Cook was 34.

Oh, yeah. Yeah. So there's that. Okay.

So essentially she's an old maid. She's an old maid who is just kind of sit off on the it's on island, but like her own. She didn't. She's a disgrace.

Yeah. Or she's all those things. But he is like, Oh, yeah, this is what I love. Sloppy seconds.

Absolutely. So let's do this. You got books that's he went for it. So he went to reading and it worked.

Yeah. So he did all of that. Found like they begin courting. So in also 1821, because we move quickly these in these times, we go immediately from courting to like, Hey, we're gonna get married.

So they start talking about marriage. So obviously, bookamp is like, I want to marry you. And Anne's like, Okay, your mother. Yes, a lot.

So she's like, listen, I will marry you. However, you have to do something for me first. And he's like, Okay, cool. What is it?

And she's like, I need you to kill Sharp. Solomon Sharp. Oh my god, my baby daddy. The baby daddy that did not step up.

So bookamps like, I'll do this. All right. Yeah, I'll do that. So I think I don't know if she was really like, yeah, I'll marry him if he kills this guy kind of thing.

And then he's like, yeah, I'm gonna go do it. Or it was a little like, like trying to get out of it almost. Oh, that she was trying to get out of it by saying, Hey, would you do this? Yeah, or maybe it was a test?

Like, I want to make sure you're not gonna walk away from me. So you better be invested. And she probably just had a lot of anger to work. Yeah, she was mad for sure.

You gotta be pretty pretty, but think about it. Her reputation was ruined. And he did it. Right.

He gets to walk off and still be Mr. Powerful, and she's a disgrace. So I can see where she's pissed. Yeah.

So he said, listen, I will kill him. And I'm gonna go to Frankfurt to do it because Sharp had just been named Attorney General. And I was like, maybe you shouldn't do it there. Like, that's gonna be too high profile.

Pretty crazy. Yeah. But apparently, so there's some records of like how this all went down. So Bo Camp shows up to this meeting.

He like sets up a meeting with Sharp. So he shows up there and he finds him and he challenges him to a duel because this is what we did back in those days, which challenged him to a duel. So he has been challenged to a duel and Sharp refuses. He says, you know, I'm not gonna do this because when I'm not armed and to this is wild, like I'm not doing this.

I want to more than challenge someone to a duel before they've had time to prepare. I don't know if that is accurate. Can you just walk up with a gun and say, hey, I want to duel you. I think you can.

I feel like that's just murder. I think you can. But then you have to give the other person like, you know, obviously the chance. He's sleeping.

He's asleep in my hand. It's pretty wild. No, you're good. Yeah.

So he is like, hey, I don't want to duel one. I don't have a weapon too. I just don't really want to do this. And Bo Camp's like, okay, well, since you don't have a knife, I have a second knife.

And so he gives a second knife, like offers it to him that's like, hey, because I really want to play because I really want to duel you. And I have a knife and now you have a knife that I've given you. So I feel like we can do this now. It's not as sharp as my knife.

Right. It's not as cool as my knife, but it is a knife. It is a knife. And now you are also, now you're good.

Right. And he's still like, no, I don't really want to do this. So he says, no, declines a challenge. Let me walk away.

Yeah. So Bo Camp offers the challenge a third time and says, hey, no, we're going to do this. So sharps like heck to the no and he bolts, he's trying to get out of there. But Bo Camp catches him by the collar and like pulls him down.

So he falls to his knees, sharp does and says, you know, my life is in your hands because I'm not going to fight you. And like, it's begging him to spare it. Now this is all Bo Camp's response. I don't know if he was like, we don't know how like, like, it's really like if it's really this kind of thing or if it was, yeah, like if he really begged for his life or whatever.

But I mean, he might have. So Bo Camp apparently kicked him and cursed him for being coward threatened to horse with him every day until he consented to the duel. Yeah. So he let him go.

He was like, okay, but this is how it's going to be. So the day after this first encounter, Bo Camp tries to find sharp just out in the streets in Frankfurt. He's like, we'll duel here. But he was told that he that sharp was like, heck no, and got out of there and went back to Bowling Green.

So he, Bo Camp goes to Bowling Green and to find him and he's like, where's he at? Turned out he wasn't a Bowling Green either. I don't know where the heck he went, but he was like, this crazy man is trying to murder me. I gotta go.

So he said, you know what, whatever, I'm going to go back to him. So he leaves and goes back to Anne's house. So he's like, how'd it go? Yeah, he's like, can find him tried and tried and he was like, no, every time he just refused to die, it's weird.

Yeah, it was a lot strange. So like any woman, Anne was like, listen, I sent a man to do this job and he couldn't do it. So I'm going to have to do it myself. She actually should have known in the first place.

Right. She's like, listen, this is and that's just how it is. If you want it done right, you've got to do it yourself. Don't send a man to do the job for you.

If you want it done right, you've just got to do it. So she's like, okay, I'm going to do it then. I'm just going to kill him. So she decides to lure him to her house and just kill him herself.

Bo Camp, though, didn't like this idea because he wanted to be the one to kill sharp to defend his wife's to be her honor. Yes. I think her honor is kind of right. Yeah, because she's like, I actually want to murder this man.

Yeah. Yeah. So Anne, though, was like, no, I let you do this and you have failed. So Bo Camp starts teaching her how to use a gun.

He's like, listen, I'll teach you how to use the gun so you can take him out. Why? Just going back. Why would Bo Camp be like, I'm going to knife him.

But he tells his woman, oh, no, you need to shoot him. I don't really know how that kind of happened. I don't know why we picked a knife in the first place. Maybe you only had one gun.

And why couldn't you shot him himself instead of a duel? Right. I think that's kind of the honor thing is like, that's kind of what you do. I don't know.

But yeah, so she was like, he's teaching her how to use the gun and that's, you know, she's going to kill him. So learning that sharp wasn't both in green on business. She sent him a letter condemning Bo Camp's attempt on his life and asking to see him again. So she's like, I can't believe this guy did this to you.

I love you. This is terrible. I'd love to see you again. My mommy will be out of the estate.

So obviously sharp is like, this feels suspicious. This feels suspicious. So he questions the man who delivers letter and is like, this is a trap. So he sent her a reply and said that he would meet her at that time.

Like he would do the meeting. Two to five, but you have to meet the next station. Right. Exactly.

Yeah. So Bo Camp hoping to kill Sharp before the meeting because he's like, nomad, he will not give up. So he traveled to Bowling Green, but found that Sharp had already departed for Frankfurt and missed him again. So he had alluded to this trap again.

Obviously, he's like, this is crazy. So Bo Camp, though, decided, you know what, I'm gonna just stay in Bowling Green, finish my law degree, and just wait for him to come back. But actually, I mean, so essentially we're talking, this could be years. Yes.

Yeah. Yeah. This guy is an idiot. It's pretty crazy.

It's an idiot. Yeah. So okay. He stays there.

Obviously, like, I mean, this is like 1820, something like 21. So he passes the bar in 1823. So he's here at least like two years, like trying to find this guy and kill him. But also while doing law school.

So even though he wasn't able to kill Sharp and still agree to Maryam, and they were married in June of 1824. So but this kind of sparked a new determination for him to defend, you know, the honor of his now wife. It was pretty long in the two points. Yeah.

Yeah. So he was like, you know what, I will actually, I'm really gonna do it now. I'm really gonna kill him. Edgar, god bless.

Edgar got mad. Yeah. It's okay. He's fine.

Sir, get your life together, man. She's not hungry. He just ate. Oh, thank you.

Come here, baby. Come on. You were literally asleep like 2.5 seconds. Yeah.

It was very cute. And then you woke up. Okay. So he's like more determined than ever to kill this guy.

So he's they can cock this a new trap to lure him back to Bowling Green. So he wrote letters to Sharp under various student names, each one of them asking for his help in some sort of legal manner because he's a attorney general, right? So they're asking for help. So I'm having an issue with my knife.

Yeah. Something like I need your help. And he did it under like all these different names and he sent letters from different post offices so they wouldn't be like tracked. But obviously Sharp is like, didn't answer any of the letters.

And so Bo Cam's like, forget it. I'm going to Frankfurt and I will assassinate this man this time. So this is like round four or five that he's like, all right, here we go. I'm gonna go do it.

I'm gonna get a credit. Right. He is really, he's in a twin. He isn't a twin.

Absolutely. He's loyal. He's loyal. Yeah.

He's really like this is what we're going to do. So his woman has just and has totally given up like, I think so. I think she's kind of like, you know, whatever. If he wants to go for it.

Yeah. This is fine. Yeah. Okay.

Yeah. Little nipper. Right. So back in Frankfurt, Sharp is in the middle of some type of like political battle that's going on during this time.

So a little bit of information on that. I had to read this section of this like article about 15 times if I understand what's happening. So the best I can figure out there was a political battle between two different parties, the Old Court, New Court Controversy. That's what it's called.

So Sharp was part of the New Court or the relief party, which really favored debtors. So like, I don't like he was the one who was like, okay, we want to provide relief to these people. He was the Democrat. But I don't think he was.

I think it was for like, I don't know if it was for like the regular people, yes, but I think it was more for like companies and stuff. So like like our modern day version of tax cuts, I guess. Well, and back then, I mean, you could be jailed for having a debt. So I think it was more of that kind of thing, but I don't know for sure.

He was kind of progressive in that way, I guess. Yeah, he was like, hey, we need to figure out a different way to do this. He wanted to change things. Yes.

So then there was the Old Court, which was the anti-relief party. And they worked to secure the rights of creditors to collect debts owed to them. So they were like, you know what? I mean, people like have to pay back their debt.

Like this is what needs to happen. So Sharp had been the state attorney general under the new court governor, John Ader and Joseph Disha. Sure. The new court's party's power was beginning to kind of fizzle out a little bit.

And in 1825, he resigned from attorney general's run for a seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives. So this is all kind of going on. So during the campaign, there's all kinds of like, you know, people play dirty, right? There's smear campaigns, threats, there's like, they will pull out all your dirty laundry and like, oh, now the bastard child.

So there was a hand bill printed by the old court partisan John Upshaw Worrying that had the information about how Sharp had allegedly seduced and cooked and fathered this child and then, you know, denied it. So they alleged that Sharp denied the paternity of the child based on the fact that the child was allegedly of mixed race and was fathered by one of the cook family slaves. So let's just talk about history. Yeah, quick, quick.

Second. Yeah. It was common to find a slave owner a male who fathered children with his females. That was common as they use their power and authority right to rape and do all these things.

Yeah. However, it was not common for a white woman to have intercourse with a, you know, slay a black slave male. Number one, he would be hanged. Oh, for sure.

You know, they would assume like, oh, it was raped. They wouldn't be in a romantic language. Right. And even if they were in a romantic relationship, it would be like, yeah, it would not be born by racial.

You don't get everybody be like, what the heck, you know, right? Like that. Yeah, he has a lot of thoughts about it as a black man. He has a lot of thoughts and feelings about this.

He wants to go to sleep so bad I can tell because he's trying to like curl up on my lap. And that's just not just fighting. He's fighting so hard. Okay, so this all kind of comes out.

And the story, though, didn't really gain any traction with the public. So like they put it out there in the public, like, right? Either we don't really care or they didn't really read them, you know, the other way. They're like, no, please.

Yeah, whatever. We've got like this is, this is no big deal kind of thing. So it didn't get any traction and sharp actually won the election. So yeah, oh man, I was like, yeah, so he now has been like, she's been slighted again.

Yeah. So they're not sure, you know, if they actually like, you know, if this claim was actually true, you know, like people weren't sure if like he had said, I don't want I'm not a claim attorney because this is a slave's child. So we don't know if that's actually true. If he said that, like that may have just been what out there right?

I mean, that was what in there. Yeah, because it seems like even more scandalous. Right. Yeah.

So we don't know if that's actually true. And like, no, they can prove it, right? Kind of thing. So, but Bo Camp believed that he had said that and he was like, oh man, it's on now.

So he's making plans to assassinate sharp again. Yeah. He just keeps adding to the plans. Yeah.

So he is like, hey, I'm going to do this. Like for real this time, it's really going to happen. I'm going to go, there's going to be no duel, nothing. I'm just going to wipe him out.

So he makes this plan and decides he's going to do this and then he's going to flee to Missouri after he's done. I'm a very, I don't know. I mean, that's the obvious place. Yeah.

So he was like, I'm going to do it. So he makes these plans to commit the murder in the early mornings of November 7th, which is the day the legislature would convene its session. So they're like, okay, here we go. So he is, he was kind of hoping that the timing of that, because apparently like Solomon, or like Solomon Sharp has some political enemies as well during the time.

Okay. So he's, it's look like. Right. So he's having it look like it's a political assassination.

But he's standing right there, like, oh, hey, it's me. Like I've tried to murder you eight times kind of things. So he was hoping that that's kind of what would happen three weeks prior to that date. He sold all this property and made it known that he was planning to move to Missouri.

So he's like, I'm moving, we're moving to Missouri. This is what's happening. He hired these laborers, help him load wagons. Like he's like making moves to Missouri.

Two men in a wagon. I hired two men in a wagon. Yeah. Like we've happened all our valuables.

Great. We're ready. So he's like making all of these moves and like making it look like he's going to move to Missouri. I'm going to say, great, we're going to Missouri.

But he is like, I'm going to take a detour, obviously, kill this guy and then we'll go to Missouri. But it's just a lot. There's a lot of thought happening here. We send the two men in a truck ahead.

I take a separate wagon. Right. Yeah. It's a lot.

Okay. So I'm going to tell you this last little bit and then we are going to do a part two. Okay. So all right.

So he's the wagons are loaded. He's moving on. So his plans to move to Missouri becomes a little complicated because there's a warrant out against him. What?

By a woman named Ruth Ruth claims that Bo Camp was the father of her childhood child. That was born on Juneteenth 1824. The warrant was sworn out October 25th because he's planning to do this November 7th. Right.

So October 25th, this warrant comes out that hey, you father this illegitimate child, you've got to like step up kind of thing, which is hilarious to me because that's the exact reason. It's caught caught in the kettle. Exactly. So Bo Camp says like he says that a friend told him that this isn't real.

It's a harassment. You know, you should still just ignore it. Just continue with your plans. Go to Missouri.

And it's just like absolutely crazy. And Bo Camp later says that he was the one who actually arranged for the warrant to be issued. So he's like in a roundabout way. I think he's trying to like cover tracks a little bit more too.

So he says allegedly that he arranged for this warrant to come out. Like he had a friend that could make warrants happen or something. So he's like, hey, make this warrant so that I have a reason to be in Frankfurt at the time of the murder because he would have to go there to like up here or whatever. And that would be like one of the reasons why he was in Frankfurt.

So however, the historian in Fred Johnson says that, you know, this, you know, him saying this was probably just like damage control for him. Like the warrant was probably real. Okay, because I will say if you wanted to create a warrant, a fake one for yourself, why wouldn't it be something like robbery or something like that? Right.

Or something like even like a small thing because I guess they're considering like how you've got an illegitimate child like a small thing like another small thing like a different thing. Right. Why are you picking this thing? Was it because it made him look macho like yeah, I'm spreading it everywhere.

I guess. It just sounds weird. But I will say in this time period, there was something called bastardly bonds. And so where this comes from is when a woman has a child out of wedlock, she can't support that child essentially.

Because men women can't work. They can't work. They can't work. They can't you know.

So they would go in and say, hey, like I'm my child illegitimate. And the court would say name the father. So she would have to name the father. And the father would be dragged into court.

So this is what this is. A warrant would be called he would be dragged into court. He would say yes or no on the father of not the father. And he would have to step up or his family would have to step up and pay the masterly bond, which is a certain amount that they would pay to the mother like early child's work.

It's early child support. That is correct. Yes. Wild.

Yeah. Interesting. What an name. Yeah.

That's really bad. Okay. So they're thinking like he's telling everybody this is made up. Like I made this up so I could be a pretty good especially is what he's telling his wife.

Oh, I'm sure. Don't worry. See me. I only have eyes for you.

Yeah. So this is story. And though is like probably not. I agree because you know he's like this is you know it's probably not for the fact for damage control because you know fathering an illegitimate child was what he was about to go murder this guy for.

And now he too might have done this thing. Right. So that's where I'm going to end it. And then next we'll talk about you know kind of what comes next and all of the fun things that follow.

Holy shit. Yeah. I can't wait. Yeah.

So that's kind of that's where we are. Is he going to jail is a wife going to do it? Oh my gosh. I think it's going to happen.

Yes. Yeah. Eight hundred was a wild time. This is a fair lot on its own.

Like if you are thinking about the house with the prayer you are sadly missing. This is not the house in the prayer. Oh, this is like this is scandal. Scandal.

You know, all the things. Yeah. I'm ready. All right.

It's a lot of time. It's okay. I know. I was trying to get on my phone and turns out I'm not actually logged in on my phone.

Hey, do you want to have a duel? No. Actually, there's a rusty knife. It doesn't work really well.

Right. Yeah. I want it to be one of the things I decided that that's what I want to do. If you want to like come back to this town, I'm just gonna be waiting here.

So, you just gotcha. I'll just be working on a lot of research. Gotcha. Let me know where you're going to learn that dueling is not cool.

Yeah. And by the way, what you did was naughty and bad. So I'm going to do it myself. Yeah.

So then we can kind of be on even plain. Oh, gosh. Oh, yeah. Pretty crazy.

Sorry. That's loading. We're about halfway there. Wow.

Yeah. It's a lot and a lot happening over here. This is an excellent story. I'm glad that you found it.

Yeah. I've lost. Okay. Good.

I'm like, I've lost a small cat. He's over here. Good. Why don't you go night night?

That would be so nice if you would. I'm not sure he will, but I would love it if he would. Okay, Doki. He said absolutely not.

He actually said something else. Right. Right. Right.

Let's go with Riverside, California. Yes. Thank you so much for listening. Thank you much.

All right. Well, we'll catch you for part two next week. Yeah. Bye.

Bye.
