S E65: Jeremy Slate: How to Command Your Brand Through Podcast Guesting

Jeremy has experienced and conquered some of life's toughest challenges — both personally and professionally. He went into a routine surgery that led him to receive last rites from a priest and then a few years later his mom had a massive stroke which left her with permanent disabilities. Professionally, Jeremy tried it all — teaching, network marketing, in-home personal training, selling life insurance, buying products from China and selling them on Amazon. Instead, he became really good at creating debt and not paying bills. Then he had the idea to start a podcast.With few listeners and below-average content, his first podcast, Rock Ur Life, failed.  Determined to try again, he launched another podcast called The Create Your Own Life Show, which saw 10,000 listens in its first 30 days, which led to him speaking to many of his heroes and on stages globally, and now millions of downloads. After his own podcast success, he was named a top influencer by Forbes and Top Millennial Influencer by BuzzFeed. Jeremy then conceptualized his first podcast public relations agency that quickly scaled over six figures of revenue but resulted in Jeremy and his former partner dissolving their partnership and company after only 9 months. He re-formed as Command Your Brand, with his wife Brielle as the co-founder. Since its inception, Command Your Brand has booked clients on thousands of podcasts, closing in on seven figures in revenue with a team just over 10.
