Jeremy Voltz

from The Drew Marshall Show

Jeremy Voltz has been writing music, recording, and performing for 18 years throughout Canada, the U.S., and abroad. Known for his contemporary soul sound and huge voice, his songs bridge the gap between folk, rock, and soul. As a vocalist, Jeremy has had the pleasure of performing for huge crowds on some of Toronto’s greatest stages. He has performed at the Sony Centre, North by North East, City Hall, and live on the CBC. He has also toured internationally as a featured soloist with acclaimed vocal group Countermeasure, whose music video for his solo track “Life is Fine” skyrocketed to over 200K views on YouTube in just a few months. He has also gained notoriety as a songwriter; two of his songs were recent semi-finalists in the Canadian Songwriting competition, and he was awarded a music grant through Z103.5’s FundMeFest for his song “Wrong With Me”. Growing up in Cleveland, Jeremy became a multi-instrumentalist and band-leader, first studying jazz drumming, then guitar, piano, all the while honing the voice he is renowned for. Since moving to Toronto in 2007, Jeremy has immersed himself in the musical network of Toronto, from performing and collaborating with up and coming Canadian artists like Alysha Brilla, to sharing the bill with Canadian legends like April Wine, Corey Hart, Chantal Kreviazuk, Nikki Yanofsky, Glass Tiger, Matt Dusk, Kim Mitchell, and Blue Rodeo.
