Jerk vs. Nice-Guy

Anger and timidity both assume that human methods can change hearts. Paul pictures Christians as fragile clay jars carrying the gospel, whose power belongs to God alone. Sin reaches into who people are, not merely what they do, yet God loved His enemies and sent Jesus to bear the punishment for their rebellion. Knowing their deep need and God's saving grace, Christians can speak His word without aggression or fear, pray for mercy, and endure trouble with joy and peace.
