Jerry Dyckman, 3rd year Pharmacy student at Campbell University, comes on the show to talk about his journey into how he chose Pharmacy as a career, how pharmacy education is structured, what are the limitations of pharmacy school and how he believes it can be better, residency/fellowship avenues for pharmacists, and the less known characteristics of pharmacy and settings pharmacists can work in. Biography: Jerry is originally from Islip, New York and moved to Raleigh, NC for college. He is a bit of a non-traditional student and he earned his B.S. in Business Administration from NC State, worked in finance, insurance and real estate for about 8 years, then decided to go back to school to become a pharmacist. Jerry is currently a 3rd year pharmacy student, completing a dual degree in PharmD and M.S. in Public health.
