Jerry Lawson - Chief Frog at Frog

Jerry Lawson spent the first 20+ years of his professional career developing new products and strategy for global retailers like Amazon and Tesco before he and his wife followed their passion for bicycling and their desire to find lightweight bikes for their children. Now, after only 5 years their UK based children's bike brand Frog Bikes is sold in over 40 countries, recently won a Queen's Award for Enterprise, and became the official kids bike of USA Cycling in 2018. What I admire most about Jerry is an unwavering belief in the social benefits of the bicycle and the fact that if we want more adults on bikes, we need to have more kids on bikes. I had a great time talking with Jerry at the 2018 Sea Otter Classic in Monterey CA. We built this interview series from the title of our newest children's picture book Taking The Lead that follows our animal characters along a journey to open a local bike shop and inspire their town to ride.
