Jerry Marzinsky | Demonic Possession, Schizophrenia and Hearing Voices

Jerry Marzinsky joins TruthSeekah on this episode of The TruthSeekah Podcast as they discuss Demonic Possession, Schizophrenia and Hearing Voices.While working as a prison psychiatrist Jerry spent time interviewing inmates who were dealing with schizophrenia and claimed to be hearing voices. Over the weeks Jerry built trust with some of the inmates who began to open up with him about the voices. The inmates told Jerry that the voices would continually tell them to harm him and on several occasions Jerry was able to interview in speak directly with these invoices. After years of study Jerry noticed that many of the individuals who started to read the Bible or get involved in church would see progress and many times never hear the voices again. Jerry also noticed a strange animosity towards preachers that these people who were diagnosed with schizophrenia had. Has Jerry begin to read the Bible he noticed many similarities between demon possessed people and those who are suffering from schizophrenia. He also noted that many people vexed with a spirit in the Bible would be left in their right mind after being in the presence of Jesus. This led Jerry to study the ancient religious connection to schizophrenia and demonic possession. The FDA a pharmaceutical industry have turned mental health into a multi-billion-dollar industry and have diagnosed patients of schizophrenia as having a chemical imbalance. These doctors unanimously prescribed antipsychotic medications that seemed to quiet down the voices for short period of time. Although while on the medication many patients we’re now suffering from the side effects that these medications brought with them including thoughts about suicide or dying, new worsening depression, panic attacks, an extreme increase inactivity and talking also known as Mania, terrible sleeping, weight gain, nausea and vomiting are only but a few of the accompanying side effects. Jerry also noted that when individuals stop taking their medications they would always relapse and the voices would come back worse than before and seemed angry. The schizophrenia and demon possession connection what’s betrayed in the 2005 film The Exorcism of Emily Rose which told the true story of 19 years old Anneliese Michel who was prescribed antipsychotic drugs during the same time of her exorcism. Anneliese ended up dying during her exorcism and to this day the Church and Medicine still blame each other for her death.
