I have my friend Jesi on the podcast. Growing up in the Chula Vista and spring valley area struggling with mental health she used any mind altering substance to cope. After a very intense psychosis in her last week of using she checked her in herself in a program from a psychiatric hold . Getting inspired to pursue recovery from a complete stranger at a meeting , Jesi is now over 9 years clean and sober and working in a field helping other addicts to treatment.
