Today on KNOW GOOD MUSIC we talk with singer/songwriter : JESSE DANIEL EDWARDS We talk to Jesse while he is relaxing poolside about his new incredible album "VIOLENSIA", growing up in a small California town milking goats, his time as tour manager with Morrissey and some details on one of his new songs "What Ever Happened To" Jesse's voice is mesmerizing.  Think Morrissey meets Freddie Mercury meets Jeff Buckley!   ******** A little bit about JESSE DANIEL EDWARDS : Jesse Daniel Edwards is an alternative songwriter from the small mountain town of Cuyamaca, CA where he grew up without TV, internet, or significant exposure to the outside world. Leaving home at 16, he spent his late teens busking on street corners around the US and abroad. While singing outside of bars on Music Row in Nashville, TN, Jesse struck up a friendship with the late Al Bunetta (John Prine). Bunetta served as a mentor to the young artist, encouraging Jesse to write and tour full-time in the years to follow. After a sabbatical from touring, Jesse returned to the stage in 2021 with critically acclaimed Juni Ata - a collaborative project produced by Steve Cropper (Otis Redding, RCA), and arranger/co-producer Jacob Rosswog.  The resulting album "Saudade" charted successfully in the U.S. and abroad, while receiving significant airplay and garnering reviews in Mojo Magazine, American Songwriter, and the Associated Press. 2023 marks the vinyl re-release of 2012's "American Dreaming" (Cavity Search Records- Elliott Smith), and the summer release of piano rock opus "Violensia" (produced by Joe Chiccarelli- The Strokes, The Shins). ******** KNOW GOOD MUSIC can be found on Podbean (host site), Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Iheart Radio, Pandora and almost anywhere you listen to podcasts.   Visit our YouTube Channel where you can video segments from some of our past interviews.
