Jesus and His Disciples - Conversation and Prayer. 012 - An Astonishing Conversation - The Woman at the Well. - Sincere.
from Free Range Preacher on Prayer · host Fred
Plans change; that might be a theme of this podcast, Jesus' conversations with people in the book of John. We want to explore possible applications. Today, being sincere is an import from Jesus and His conversation with the woman at the well in Samaria. When she answered, "I have no husband," she was not honest with Jesus. His answer, "you have well said," in the passage did several things: for her, it showed that Jesus was the one with the answers; and for us, it illustrates that we are not only honest with God. For a prayer life which glorifies God, and satisfies our souls, our sincerity with Him is our…Our So What?As we desire honesty from one another in conversation, God desires truth in our close communion with Him. (Even though we know He knows)True communion is sincere communion."What a man is on his knees before God, that he is and nothing more."
