It’s not very hard to say, “That’s me.” Then when Jesus says, “Blessed are those who grieve,” once again, with all of the losses we’ve had to face in life, it’s easy for us to say, “That’s me, too.” But when Jesus says, “Blessed are the pure in heart,” I don’t find myself saying “That’s me” at all and I don’t expect you do either. We think of purity as perfection and all of us know we fall way short of that standard.
