Jesus Christ, the Champion of Peace

Nearly every Christmas, we hear the familiar words from Handel’s Messiah: “Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Yet, these words were not written by Handel, but instead by the ancient prophet Isaiah. A prophecy that foretold the coming of Jesus Christ as the bringer of peace.
