Jesus' Definition of True Love | Fr. Chris Alar, MIC

In a world where love is often defined primarily by feelings, emotions, or personal identity, Christ reveals something much deeper: love is willing the good of another, even at a cost to ourselves. “No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13). True love is not simply something we feel; it is something we choose and are willing to do for another. Fr. Chris invites us to examine whether today’s understanding of love has become inverted and to rediscover the sacrificial love Christ Himself lived: don’t be distracted by the messenger; listen to the message of love.
