Jesus on Trial - Audio

from Chiangmai Christian Fellowship · host Tim Dunham

Big Idea - Jesus stands on trial first before the Jewish council who must come up with a valid reason to hand Him over to Pilate for execution. The purpose of a trial should be to determine guilt or innocence, but it is clear from the beginning that they have already determined Jesus is guilty. Jesus’ trial before the Jews helps us examine our own method and motives as we consider who Jesus is. What must be the mindset of one who is examining and ultimately judging Jesus? What will keep us from coming to the right conclusion? Most importantly, what difference does it make? Is our conclusion about who Jesus is a mere bit of trivia that we hope we get right or are their serious implications related to the question - who is Jesus?
