A scene that is common in every Mario Game I played with my boys is the contest with the boss. To get to the next level, you have to fight the boss. At the end, there is a big boss you have to defeat. Each arena is different. They get more and more grandiose as you go up the levels. More and more intense.  Think of other places where great contests take place. The arena could be a boxing ring, a raceway, or a battleground. It could be your office, your school, or your bedroom.  The greatest arena where the greatest match took place was in a garden. The most epic battle between good and evil was decided in a garden.
