Jesus Promised Power in the Spirit

For forty days, Jesus appeared, taught, and prepared His friends for a remarkable promise: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.” The focus now shifts from Jesus’ physical presence to the coming of the Spirit—God’s presence within us, equipping and empowering us for all He calls us to do.These days are not just about waiting—they are about preparing our hearts for a new outpouring of God’s life. The Holy Spirit brings guidance, comfort, boldness, and an unshakable hope. As we look to Pentecost, let’s open ourselves to a fresh move of God, trusting that His Spirit will fill us with everything we need for the journey ahead. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now longs to dwell in us and through us.Let us pray:Risen Lord, thank You for the promise of Your Spirit. Prepare my heart for all You want to do in me and through me. Fill me with Your power, wisdom, and love. As I wait, help me trust Your timing and open myself to Your transforming presence. Let Pentecost power bring new life, courage, and hope to my soul and to the world through me. Amen.
