Jesus: The Heart of Thanksgiving - The Jesus Effect

Send us Fan MailIn this week’s episode of The Jesus Effect, Steve continues our November series, A Season of Gratitude, by exploring what it truly means to give thanks in every season of life.Today’s message, “Jesus — The Heart of Thanksgiving,” looks beyond the blessings we receive and focuses on the One who is the source of our gratitude.Steve shares how Scripture teaches us to give thanks in all circumstances, not just the pleasant ones. We look at Jesus’ own example of gratitude before miracles, in moments of waiting, and even on the night He was betrayed. His life shows us that thanksgiving is more than a feeling — it is a posture of trust. You’ll also discover the power of a thankful heart, how gratitude shifts our focus, pushes back fear, draws us into God’s presence, and ultimately shapes who we become. If you’re longing for a deeper, everyday rhythm of gratitude, this episode will encourage you, challenge you, and point your heart to the unchanging goodness of Jesus.Scriptures referenced: 1 Thessalonians 5:18 | John 6:11 | John 11:41 | Luke 22:19 | Psalm 100:4Listen in, be encouraged, and let Jesus become the heart of your thanksgiving. This episode of The Jesus Effect was written and hosted by me, Steve McLane. If this message touched your heart, please consider sharing it.You can listen to more at thejesuseffectpodcast.com or follow us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Facebook, and others.Until next time — stay rooted in faith and be the light. And remember, when you encounter Him - you experience change.© 2025 The Jesus Effect Podcast.
