Peter didn't fully understand what that meant, but we do. In fact, understanding what this means is important for our salvation and for our Christian walk. We begin our series with a sermon on the humanity of Christ, or the necessity of the incarnation. Why exactly was it necessary for the Son of God to become man in order that we might be saved from sin and death?
