But a few months after the 2016 election I picked up Jesus Untangled: Crucifying Our Politics to Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb by Keith Giles. This helped me to put politics in its proper place. I need not abandon it totally, but I need not put more hope, time, and energy into than is helpful.
