Jesus War Prayer 5 - Your Will Be Done
from Grace Slowly
Today we explores the profound tension of unanswered prayer, challenging the "cruel distortion" that silence from God is a result of personal failure or a lack of faith. By examining the biblical accounts of Daniel’s delay and Jesus in Gethsemane, the author illustrates that even the most perfect prayers may be met with an outcome we do not desire. The core message shifts the focus from prayer as a performance to prayer as a relationship, rooted in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Ultimately, the source encourages believers to honestly express their deepest desires while finding security in God’s grace rather than their own understanding. It concludes that "Thy will be done" is not an act of despair, but an act of trust in a Father whose love is proven by the resurrection.
