DESCRIPTION Just because the dominant factions of Christianity today perpetuate women's submission and oppression does not mean it was the vision Jesus held out for the world. In fact, Jesus was way ahead of his time regarding women's empowerment and liberation. Honestly, so was Muhammad at the founding of Islam. Why is it that these traditions have more often become tools of misogyny rather than forces for continued liberation?
