Jakyra Anderson joined the JESUSgirl.ENT podcast ‘Teen Takeover’ segment to share some helpful tips for students preparing to attend school for the upcoming fall semester.Jakyra Anderson was born in Chicago, it was there that her love for learning was first cultivated. At a young age, she discovered how much she enjoyed gaining new knowledge and sharing it with others. Jakyra graduated from Howard University in Washington, D.C., with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Human Development. She also earned two master's degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City.Jakyra holds a Master of Education in Psychological Counseling and a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. She continues to nurture the love for learning planted early in life through her role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and by founding Up the Score Tutoring Services, where she currently offers personalized tutoring to students in grades 3 through 12.Above all, Jakyra is a woman in Christ. Her identity is rooted in her love and reverence for God.
