Jewels in the Attic? The Qualifications of Leaders

In this passage from 1 Timothy, we discover a list of qualifications of those who would be a bishop in a first century Christian congregation (the leader of a local house church). While this list is specific to those congregations living under the Roman Empire, how can it speak to issues we face in leadership today, within the family, within the church and community, and within our nation?
